Any interest in a Family Friendly jam?

I just thought I'd post to find out of anyone is interested in a family friendly (home based) jam in Fayetteville. We have 4 kids at home and we would love to include them more in the blues jam stuff. Hopefully they will get the idea that mom and dad are not in this alone! (or we are not the only wierd people in the world, lol)

Now that we got a drum set we have all the backline for a jam here at our house and we have a great room to do it in!

We are a non-smoking family but I would be willing to consider a smoking area. I would also be ok with BYOB as long as it was not a total drinking party. Basically, I have found from experience that TOO much alcohol does NOT improve my music, so guess thinking in that direction.

Let me know if you are interested. Sandy: smccann7(at)sbcglobal(dot)net

Blues in the Schools (in progress)

Since I am working with Liz and the OBS board to put together a curriculum for a Blues in the Schools program here in NWA, I thought I should go ahead and post.

First and foremost, I am very much a team oriented person and would anxiously welcome input from the greater OBS membership as well as the NWA musical community.

If you are interested in contributing to ideas for the curriculum, or participating in the presentation of the developed ideas to school kids throughout NWA, please post here on the blog, or e-mail Sandy: smccann7(at)sbcglobal(dot) net

Let's not only "keep the Blues alive"....let's help rebirth them in the next generation!
